Berkeley Technology Academy (B-Tech) is a continuation high school diploma program designed to meet the needs of students sixteen through eighteen years of age who have not graduated from high school and are deemed at risk of not completing their education.
Castlemont Community of Small Schools was divided into three small schools in 2004: Castlemont Leadership Preparatory, Castlemont Business and Information Technology School, and East Oakland School of the Arts.
Formerly Fremont Senior High School, the campus of the Fremont Federation of High Schools hosts four Small Autonomous High Schools in the Fruitvale neighborhood of Oakland, California.
Richmond High School is one of six comprehensive four-year public high schools in the West Contra Costa Unified School District (WCCUSD). As an urban high school, RHS reflects the social diversity of the community.
Skyline High School: Generally regarded as the highest achieving comprehensive high school in Oakland, Skyline struggles compared to high achieving schools across the state. Skyline has over 2,100 students.
Youth Empowerment School (YES) is a relatively new small school located in East Oakland. The school began on the Fremont High School campus, and has since relocated to its own campus. Youth Together began working at the school in August of 2007.
