What is the One Land One People Internship?
The One Land, One People Internship is a year long, collaborative internship centered around engaging and supporting some of our most vulnerable students at Skyline High School – 9th grade students. Interns support these students by teaching academic skills through interactive activities and gameplay, as well as by engaging them in interpersonal & personal skill development. As interns, students learn how to:
- Support students academically;
- Engage with and support diverse communities;
- Strengthen their community through peer-to-peer mentorship and skill-building.
Interns meet Mondays, and support facilitating the FRESH Program Tuesday – Thursday. All interns are expected to maintain positive relationships with mentees, as well as maintain a 2.5 GPA with NO D’s or F’s. All interns are Skyline High School students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.
